Kathak Darpan 2026 – A Memorable Milestone
We are delighted to share that students of Saranya's Sahasra Parambara had the privilege of participating in Kathak Darpan 2026, the prestigious summer workshop conducted by Vidushi Saswati Sen Ji at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, in memory of the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji.
Being selected through a live audition before Saswati Sen was a proud and humbling experience.
The workshop offered an enriching environment of intensive learning, artistic exploration, and invaluable guidance, allowing us to deepen our understanding of the Kathak tradition.
One of the most cherished moments of this journey was the opportunity to perform at the workshop finale, sharing the stage with fellow Kathak practitioners from different places and celebrating the beauty of this timeless art form.
We express our sincere gratitude to our Guru, Saranya Jaselin , whose unwavering dedication, guidance, and encouragement made this achievement possible. Her training and belief in us continue to inspire every step of our artistic journey.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Sunil Sunkara for his constant support, encouragement, and mentorship throughout this experience. His guidance played a significant role in making this journey truly meaningful.
We are deeply grateful to Vidushi Saswati Sen for this invaluable opportunity. We return with enriched knowledge, beautiful memories, and renewed inspiration to continue our pursuit of Kathak.
