Government of Manipur Issues Job Appointment Letters to Outstanding Athletes

The Government of Manipur has issued job appointment letters to outstanding athletes who represented the state and won medals at the Commonwealth Games, National Games and Asian Games.

During a ceremony organized to honour the sportspersons, Chief Minister Y. Khemchand handed over appointment letters to four Pencak Silat athletes—Jeevan, Chingkhei, Sophia and Anjali—who won gold medals at the 37th National Games.

The appointment letters were also distributed to Manipur athletes who secured gold medals at the 36th and 37th National Games, as well as athletes who won medals at the Asian Games.

The initiative recognises the achievements and contributions of Manipur’s athletes and provides them with government employment in recognition of their outstanding performance in sports.
