The most recent Snooker tournament, organized by the League Billiards Sangaiporou in Imphal, recently concluded.

The final match, a best-of-9 (race to 5 frames), saw Mr. Arundas Nahakpam initially take a commanding 3-0 lead. Mr. Barun then strategically adjusted his playing style, bringing the score to an even 3-3. Following this, Mr. Arundas, demonstrating great composure, won the 7th frame, making the score 4-3. The match was truly spectacular. Mr. Barun meticulously secured the 8th frame, once again leveling the score at 4-4. This incredibly close contest captivated the audience. Ultimately, Mr. Arundas, with his energetic cue actions, emerged as the victor. Following a well executed snooker by Mr. Arundas, Mr. Barun became the runner-up after conceding three consecutive fouls, resulting in a 12-point penalty at a crucial moment (foul and missed).

The winner was Mr. Arundas Nahakpam (pictured right), and the runner-up Mr. Barun Thounaojam (pictured left).

Congrats again to both players. And thanks to the organizers (especially the Owner, League Billiards) for letting me hand over the Winner Trophy. πŸ™Œ

We wish to remind all our esteemed players that, as has been communicated from the outset, the consumption of alcoholic beverages or narcotic substances within the premises of any Man Cave branch is strictly prohibited.

On March 22nd, 2026, at our Moirangkhom Branch, our CCTV footage regrettably captured certain individuals violating these established rules and regulations.

Therefore, we, the team at The Man Cave, kindly request all players to adhere to our straightforward guidelines, which include:
* Refraining from bringing drugs into the billiard hall.
* Wiping your shoes on the provided foot mats upon entry, as we feature woolen carpets.
* Ensuring no leftover items or to***co are discarded in urinals or sinks.
* And, of course, observing the table rules prominently displayed on the walls.

Effective immediately, any individual found consuming alcoholic beverages within the Man Cave billiard hall will face appropriate consequences.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We wish everyone a pleasant playing experience. πŸ™

🎱 Bridge Length Effects 🎱
As shown in Image 1, bridge length refers to the distance from the front of the cue ball (CB) to your bridge hand. In the image, this distance is approximately 13 inches (33 cm).
πŸ”ΉRecommended Bridge Lengths:
βœ… 6 inches or less β†’ Ideal for complete beginners who need maximum stability.
βœ…8 inches β†’ A good choice for novice players, reducing aiming errors.
βœ…12 inches β†’ Preferred by intermediate players for a balance of control and flexibility.
βœ…12+ inches β†’ Often used by advanced players and professionals who have a well-developed, straight
stroke.
πŸ”ΉWhy Bridge Length Matters:
βœ… Shorter bridges minimize aiming errors and reduce unintentional sidespin caused by slight stroke
deviations.
βœ…Longer bridges allow for more cue speed and flexibility but require a very stable stroke.
βœ…A short bridge stabilizes the shot because it reduces tip movement, even if the back hand moves
slightly.
βœ…A longer bridge increases the risk of errors because small hand movements affect both aim and spin
more dramatically.
For novice players, a shorter bridge is generally better as it limits stroke errors. More experienced players can use a longer bridge effectively because they have developed a consistent and straight stroke.
Would you like to discuss how to adjust your bridge length for different types of shots?
