March has been a complete disaster at House of Keith & Jake too. Slowest month so far. There was so much happening on the personal front, school admissions stress as a parent, regular adulting, and even what’s happening around us in the world… it all had a silent effect. My health took a major roll, still recovering.
But life must go on.
On the brighter side, this is the best thing about owning a small business. I might not have had many orders, but I have the luxury to pause when I need to, to check in with myself, and understand my own pluses and minuses.
Grateful is the word.
Thank you God, thank you Universe, and thank you for the immense support I get from my family.

Hope to see you guys regularly now. 🙏🏻

Glimpses of stalls I have sold my candles and decor in December. All I want to say is "A big thank you to everyone who took our candles home, who stopped by, who appreciated, who followed us on instagram." Everything matters when you are trying to build something of your own.

1️⃣ Getting the fragrance strength perfect
Some oils bloom beautifully… some disappear after 24 hours. It’s a lot of testing and tweaking.

2️⃣ Pour temperature confusion
Too hot? It sinks. Too cold? It cracks. Every wax has its own attitude. 😭

3️⃣ Sealing & curing jars at the right timing
I seal properly, but timing still gets tricky — one hour off and the wax misbehaves.

4️⃣ Dust settling on the top during curing
No matter how clean the room is… that one tiny speck shows up on the candle top. 👀

5️⃣ Keeping track of production timelines
Curing jars, sealing, pouring, candle curing — the schedule feels like a whole project plan every time.
