“Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities.” That’s what the wikipedia page says at least. But art can’t truly be defined as a term in general for everyone. It means different things for different people. Ancient architecture like the ajanta caves could be a work of art for a few, while others may prefer the da vincis, the angelos, the hussains. Some might find life in general, a work of art. Anyway coming to the point, this is one’s own journey and my mother’s began about 25 years ago. Started out with murals, fabric paintings, moulds, soft toys (Yes! They were once in demand), fountains, chemical flowers and many more. She has added a lot more to her expertise since then. Varli paintings, antique mirrors, brick carvings and my personal favourite Tanjore paintings. One might not be familiar with a few of them. I will soon be adding photos, which should help.
