Our Story
Sangeeta Kumar Murthy is well accomplished artist and researcher, more then 25 years, who has received several Awards and Honours for her contribution to Indian Art. She has done Nine Solo Shows and participated in more than two hundred group shows. She was in Triveni Kala Sangam for 9 years under guidance of the Creative Genius Shri Rameshwar Broota.
Sangeeta has participated in Six Charity Auctions such as Christies to raise funds for the underprivileged. 2020 “Nari Sashaktikaran” Award by Danik Jagran Newspaper in Gurgaon and Felicitation in “Kala Utsav” organised by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India and Department of School Education and Literacy (NCERT) at RIE Insitute, Bhopal. 2019 Celebrating Indian Languages “Artist Award” given by Hon Ex Minister Ms Jaya Jaitly at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi and “Artist of the Year” Award given for my contribution in Indian Art by JD Fashion Institute at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. 2018 She received Senior Fellowship Award from CCRT for two years and "Amrita Sher Gill Rashtriya Kala Puraskar" by National Institute of Fine Arts and Raja Man Singh Tomar Music & Art University Gwailor (M.P), received at New Delhi. “FACE International Women Leadership Award 2017” at ICCR, Indian Council for Cultural Relation at Aazad Bhawan. “Shri Shakti Nari Pratibha Samman” by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Shakti Mandir, Gurgaon and “Custodian of Art & Heritage Award” for my contribution & promotion of Art & Fashion by JD Fashion Institute, New Delhi 2017. On the occasion of Womans Day 2016, Award “Naayaka” is given by Airports Authority of India and Kala Drishti at Airports Authority of India Officers’ Institute, New Delhi. She received Delhi Star Award 2015 for Best Women Artist from Adhikar Manch and Idea Masale. She was felicitated by 3rd Delhi International Film Fastival 2014. In 2013 she was felicitated by Shri Raj Nath Singh for artist of Haryana. She was one of the artists to be encouraged by the Honourable President of India and felicitated by the Honourable Chief Justice of India and Lt. Governor of Delhi with National Woman’s Award 2008 and also a recipient of Kala Ratna Samman 2005.
She participated in a International Art workshop in Rome 2015.“The Cultural Coalition” art exibition at Hyde House, Langley Street, Covent Garden, London 2014. In “The New Florence Biennale Ethics DNA of Art” at Florence, Italy 2013. She was also a part of “Resonance of the Spirit”, The 8th Korea India Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition” at Wolijon Foundation, Henbyeokwon Gallery, Seoul, South Korea, 2013. In 2012, she was part of the Artists’ delegation representing India for the SAARC Art Exhibition and Camp held at Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 2011 also she was invited by the Princess of Saudi Arabia to exhibit her works at National Museum, Riyadh and held workshops at the Ministry of Culture, Saudi Arabia.
She was also invited and part of many prestigious Award Juries such as ”Kalidas Award” for the year 2018 and 2019, “Shikhar Samman” for the year 2016,2017 & 2018, NCERT All India Painting Compititation “Kala Utsav” 2018 & 2019. Her works can be found in several private and public collections in India and abroad. She lives and work in Gurgaon, Haryana.
