𝗚𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗛

Where 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 becomes 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, and form becomes 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

This sculptural bench explores the intersection of 𝘨𝘦𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘺, 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘵𝘩, and 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵—emerging through 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 where repetition becomes rhythm and structure transforms into surface.

Formed from layered 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 ribs, the piece unfolds as a continuous curve—guiding the body, blurring the line between 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 and 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲.

What defines this piece is its exploration of 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪-𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.

Precision-cut sections and contours are accentuated with 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀—introduced within the notches to create moments of contrast and continuity. Two subtle layers of brass break the visual monotony, adding depth, rhythm, and a refined material dialogue.

At its core, a sculpted brass element stands as a point of stillness—balancing the fluidity of the wooden form.

Together, wood and brass create a conversation between:

𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 and 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴

More than a seat, it becomes a 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

𝗔𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗬𝗠𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗬 // 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙁𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩

A moment between 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 and 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲.

This piece explores the threshold between 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 and 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵—capturing the collective ascent of butterflies as a sculptural expression of flight.

Emerging from the ground in a choreographed formation, the installation translates a fleeting moment into a 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻—where geometry becomes motion.

Rather than a singular object, it forms an 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱—where density shifts from grounded solidity to airy dispersion, suggesting 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘵, 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦, and 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

The 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 surface interacts with light, giving the piece a radiant, almost 𝘢𝘭𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 presence—grounded in material, yet reaching toward the infinite.

This installation is part of an evolving series by 𝗮𝗿𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕], explored across scales and contexts—
from a large-scale permanent installation at Kochi Airport in stainless steel,
to bespoke residential installations,
and now presented here in a refined brass finish with a stainless steel base.

A moment suspended between 𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 and 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Crafted in 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱, this piece explores a carefully articulated 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗱—where 𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 and 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 merge into a fluid, algorithmic surface.

Within this field, 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀-𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀 emerge—varying in scale, rhythm, and density—forming a 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

The result is a composition that feels both 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 and 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰, where mathematics transforms into motion.

What makes this piece particularly special is its exploration of 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪-𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺—the warmth and natural grain of wood, sculpted through 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and craftsmanship, contrasted with the reflective elegance of brass inlays.

Each layer reveals a dialogue between:

Designed as a 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, aquaMORPH is intended to 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲—creating depth, focus, and a constantly evolving visual experience.

Part of the evolving 𝘢𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘗𝘏 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 by 𝗮𝗿𝘁[𝗟𝗔𝗕], exploring movement, migration, and material across multiple scales and expressions.

Each piece is shaped through material exploration and computational precision that comes together as a quiet narrative of form, craft, and intent. What was once an unfolding experience now moves toward its conclusion.
