*A Scrap collector stabs his friend to death and then flees from the spot. Margao Police traces him within 3 hours while trying to flee the city*

Brief Facts : On 03rd October, 2020 at around 2330 hrs a call was received through PCR that fighting was going on at Khareband. Immediately Margao Town PS staff reached the spot but nobody was found.

Later, Shri. Joseph Colaco owner of a nearby bar informed Police that at about 2315 hrs. at near Johnson Bar, Khareband a quarrel took place between two labourers/scrap collectors residing at the footpath. One person namely “Yellappa Karbal” (Labour) Scrap Collector stabbed another labour (Scrap Collector) namely “Kumar” with knife and thereby committed his murder. The victim revealed this to the Bar owner before succumbing to his injuries.

After stabbing the victim, the accused had fled away from the spot.

An offence vide Crime No. 201/2020 U/s 302 of IPC was registered and further investigation of the case was taken up.

A team was immediately formed under supervision of PI Margao Town shri Sachin Narvekar and consisting of PSI Sagar Dhatkar, PSI vishwajeet Dhavlikar, HC Sameer Nagnuri, HC Dilkhush Velip, PC Gorakhnath Gawas, PC Vishal Prabhu, Kaplesh Kholkar, PC Orlando Fernandes to trace the accused.

The team fanned out through the streets of Margao Town and began search of the accused. After around 3 hours of intensive search the accused was traced nearby the railway track trying to flee the city.

Investigation revealed that the quarrel broke out between the two friends over repayment of a loan of 1000 rupees.

Further investigation is in progress. Dead body of the deceased has been preserved in the TB Hospital Mortuary.

THE INSENSITIVE BJP GOVERNMENT ARE “KILLERS” OF INNOCENT COVID PATIENTS,

GOVT. MUST ORDER JUDICIAL INQUIRY BY A RETIRED HIGH COURT JUDGE OF ALL COVID DEATHS IN GOA – GIRISH CHODANKAR.

Margao – The reports of complete lethargy and negligence at the Goa Medical College which resulted in unfortunate death of eminent doctor from Margao Dr. Mario Godinho has once again exposed the ill preparedness of the defective BJP Government in managing the Covid Pandemic. The corrupt Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has no moral right to continue in his chair and must resign immediately demanded Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar.

It is disturbing to note that Dr. Mario Godinho was made to sleep on the stretcher for almost six hours. It is horrifying to know that the ventilator provided to Dr. Mario Godinho had a break down almost four times. Various media reports suggest that one of the Nurses in GMC went to give insulin to Dr. Godinho when he was not a diabetic patient.

We once again demand that the Government must order impartial judicial inquiry by a retired High Court Judge of all the deaths which have occurred due to Covid in Goa. We want to recall that the Congress Party had raised serious questions on the death of our two time MLA late Jitendra Deshprabhu and had asked the Chief Minister to probe his death stated Girish Chodankar.

The insensitive BJP Government in Goa has turned out to be the “Killers” of the innocent Covid patients. The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and the entire cabinet along with the BJP party cadre remained in celebrations mode banging Thaalis and lighting Diyas when the nationwide lockdown was announced. The Government miserably failed to create necessary health infrastructure and other facilities to treat Covid patients, which has now resulted in spike in Covid cases and rise in death toll charged Girish Chodankar.

The adamant Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant refused the suggestion of the Congress Party to start Community Testing and instead went ahead with Community Survey, the outcome of which is still not known to the people of Goa. The Government rejected the demand of the Congress Party to go for Lockdown of Vasco after the outbreak of Covid in Mangor Hill area. The irresponsible decision of the Government resulted in rapid spread of the virus all across Goa claimed Girish Chodankar.

The insensitive BJP Government deliberately delayed the commissioning of the South Goa District Hospital despite our CLP Leader Digambar Kamat demanding that the said hospital should declared as Covid Hospital in early April. The lethargic approach of the Government resulted in Covid Patients forced to sleep on the floors and stretchers.

The BJP Government is busy in making fortunes from “Business of Peoples Sickness” charged Girish Chodankar.

Panaji - The failure of the investigation authorities to nab the murderer of the day light murder of a Gold Smith on 18th September 2012 in Mapuca, which happens to be the birth town of former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar when he was in Power is enough to prove that the BJP government has failed in maintaining law and order in Goa charged Congress Media Dept Convenor Trajano Dmello while reacting to remarks made by BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanawade on Congress for criticising the government. Every Question raised by the Congress of Public Safety & Heath Concerns it is being pushed aside as criticism Dmello stated.

We are reiterating our claim that the BJP top brass is protecting the Drug Mafia, Beggar Mafia and Murder Mafia in Goa and want to convert this beautiful state into Crime Destination charged Trajano Dmello.

The very fact that Sadanand Tanawade and Satish Dhond rushed to Margao after the murder of the jeweller raises questions on their intentions as interference of Party Functionaries in the Process of investigation.

Why the Government did not act till now against the local Police Inspector in Margao for his failure to handle the case? Why the Government has not acted even after 4 days of the murder to appoint a DySP in South Goa?

What happened to the investigation of 100 kgs ketamine drug haul seized from the factory of BJP office bearer? What happened to the Beach Cleaning Scam in which link of brother of former CM had appeared and even Lokayukta had ordered an inquiry? What happened to the Cyberage Scam which was also identified by the Lokayukta as a scam? Why BJP did not take action on brother in law of former CM Laxmikant Parsekar who was caught red handed accepting bribe? Why BJP remained quiet on foreign tours Dr. Shrikant Ajgaonkar and Rashmi Rajendra Ajgaonkar who are government employees? Why BJP government is not probing the alleged hand of GFDC vice chairman Dr. Shrikant Ajgaonkar in football match fixing? Why BJP is quiet on crores spent on rent for hiring three floors in Spaces building at Patto? questioned Congress Spokesperson Trajano Dmello, demanding BJP state president to show some spine and reply to his questions.

The BJP government has pushed a single point agenda of "Making Fortunes fron Anything & Everything" and has robbed the State Treasury. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant focussed on his commission from Coal and Mining transportation during Covid pandemic, which has now resulted in spike in positive cases as well as deaths.

After the name of Prakash Velip emerged in Tirumala Tirupati Bank which has links with Kapil Zaveri, BJP continued his membership in the Party as taking any action would have resulted in more skeletons falling out of BJP's already rusted cupboard charged Trajano Dmello.

We want to warn the BJP not to mislead the people. Goans are watching and will teach the Party who has undemocraticaly Usurped Power
