A day during my Quarantine. I have stayed home earlier also but I don't know why but something has changed. The day is 29th March 2020, a Saturday. The world is probably coming to an end. Presenting _ A Visual Ethnography Project on THE CERAMIC CITY KHURJA.

Khurja is a magical place which falls in Bulandsahar district, Uttar Pradesh at NH 91almost 150 kms away from the Capital Delhi. It is world famous for its handcrafted Ceramic Wares.

This Visual Ethnography Research Project was taken up by one of Tapasya Studio's Founder in year 2015.

It is believed that Emperor Timur Lang who sacked India in 1938, had a band of soldiers amongst whom were also skilled Potters. These potters than decided to stay back and get settled in Multan, which is now in Pakistan. Later they moved to India and finally to Khurja.
