Hello Everyone!
The Soc is back with its third Open Debate session on 14th March on the occasion of IITG's Performing Arts Festival-2020.
The motion is " This House Believes that Freedom of Speech Should Not Extend to Offence of Religion".
It's open for everyone on the campus to participate. Those who are interested in speaking are requested to fill the form attached below. The form has three questions which are mandatory. The deadline for submission is 11.59 AM, Friday, 13th March. Make sure that you answer the questions well, as we'll be shortlisting speakers based on the responses submitted.
Those who just want to witness the heated and exciting session are equally welcome to attend the session.
The format of the debate is Oxford Union Format. Every speaker gets 7 mins to give their substantive speech. This will be followed by 2 min of audience round. The speaker will be judged on matter and manner of their speech along with their engagement in the debate.
Prizes and certificates for the top three speakers of the session.
