Formed by five musicians with diverse influences, the band combines progressive rock, alternative rock, blues, metal, and ambient textures to create a sound that is both emotionally raw and sonically dynamic.

Known for their energetic live performances and emotionally driven originals, Akhanda has steadily emerged as one of the promising independent acts from Northeast India. Their music explores themes of identity, spirituality, inner conflict, love, and human connection — delivered through haunting melodies, intricate instrumentation, and expressive lyricism.

The band consists of:
Aditya Pradhan — Vocals & Lyrics
Alister Darnal — Keyboards
Amos Darnal — Bass
Nimesh Dahal — Guitar
Syoen Wangchuk Lepcha — Drums

1st Runners-Up — Red Fest Season 7

Band Champion — Darjeeling Melo Tea Fest 2024 (Nepali Edition)

2nd Runners-Up — Ticket to Hornbill 2025 and Sikkim’s Golden Beat Band Competition 2026

Their growing catalogue of original music, including tracks like Brahma, Urna Dew, Mayajaal, Jiwan, and Divyata, reflects the band’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries while staying deeply connected to their Himalayan roots.
