Sikfest made history as the first convention in India to offer cash prizes of Rs30,000/- to all “Best of the Day” winners — a small yet meaningful step to recognize the immense effort and dedication of every creator.

“In conventions, artists invest so much — booking booths, covering travel and stay, working tirelessly all day — often without the chance to truly connect or learn from their mentors. So, for those who earned the ‘Best of the Day,’ this was the least we could do to support our fellow artists,
Because me as an artist when we have to travel and participate can understand this, not every conventions can.
Also note that this convention was not backed by any organisations or any sponsors.” says Mridul Wangdi.

Team MW MW Tattoo Studio has successfully organized an event that has brought Sikkim to the international forefront, earning recognition from hundreds of visitors, participants, and artists from across the globe. The event not only showcased the vibrant art, culture, and talent of the state but also marked a significant milestone in positioning Sikkim as a destination for global cultural exchange.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha for his generous and unwavering support. His guidance and encouragement played an instrumental role in ensuring the success of the event.

This initiative by Team MW stands as a testament to the potential of Sikkim’s creative and cultural industries, contributing meaningfully to the state’s tourism, revenue generation, and overall development.

What made Sikfest 2.0 truly remarkable was that it wasn’t powered by a large organisation, no sponsors, but by the relentless dedication of a small team of just six to seven individuals. Their hard work, sleepless nights, and unshakable ambition turned a dream into reality. With sweat, passion, and a shared vision to place Sikkim on the global platform, they proved that when determination meets purpose, even a small team can create an event of international impact.
