Hello everyone, my name is SHOWKAT AHMAD LONE, and I am a Pashmina Sozni embroidery artisan from Kashmir.
Sozni embroidery is a beautiful traditional craft that is very close to my heart. Each piece is created with a needle, thread, patience, and a lot of love. The delicate patterns and fine details take many hours of careful work, and every design tells a story inspired by the beauty and heritage of Kashmir.
My journey as an artisan has been filled with learning, practice, and dedication. Being able to share my craft journey with the jury members was a very special experience for me. It made me feel proud that the skill and effort behind our traditional craft are being recognised and appreciated.
For me, Sozni is not just embroidery. It is a part of our culture and a tradition that I feel honoured to carry forward.
I am grateful for this opportunity to share my work and my story with the world. Thank you for celebrating and supporting artisans and our beautiful Kashmiri craftsmanship
