World Wildlife Day Celebration -

As part of today’s World Wildlife Day celebrations, Gadag Zoo proudly conducted wildlife outreach programs for the students of Binkadakatti Government High School and Asundi High School.

Through engaging and interactive sessions, we educated students about the importance of wildlife, the major threats faced by wild animals, and the urgent need for conservation. We also highlighted the vital role zoos play in protecting endangered species, conserving biodiversity, and spreading awareness among the public.

The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by the students made the program truly meaningful. To encourage their active participation, we distributed books, pens, and pencils as small tokens of appreciation to inspire them to continue learning and caring for nature.

At Gadag Zoo, we believe that educating young minds today builds stronger wildlife protectors for tomorrow.

On this World Wildlife Day, we are reminded that the earth does not belong to us alone. It is shared with every wing that flies, every paw that walks, and every life that breathes in the wild.

From the silent strength of the tiger to the gentle grace of the deer, wildlife is not just part of nature — it is the heartbeat of our planet. When forests fade, voices of the wild fade with them. And when we protect wildlife, we protect our own future.

ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯ ತಾಪ ಏರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲವಾಗಿರಲು ನಾವು 'Summer food enrichment'ನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ
​ಐಸ್ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ನೀಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ದೇಹದ ಉಷ್ಣತೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನ ತಾಪದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಲ್ಲಂಗಡಿ, ಕರ್ಬೂಜದಂತಹ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನಂಶ (Hydration) ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಗಟ್ಟಿ ಐಸ್ ಅಥವಾ ಬಿದಿರಿನ ಒಳಗೆ ಅಡಗಿಸಿಟ್ಟ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ತಿನ್ನುವುದು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಬೇಟೆಯ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಚುರುಕಾಗಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯ ಕಾಲೋಚಿತ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವಸತ್ವಗಳು (Vitamins) ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ರೋಗನಿರೋಧಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳು ಸುಸ್ತಾಗದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಬಿಸಿಲಿಗೆ ಸುಸ್ತಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಕಡೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬದಲು, ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಹಾರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಾಡಲು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
