Khalil Chishtee is an artist currently based in New York, America. His practice revolves around questioning the norms, notions of living life and cultures. Using shredded, bunched, bungled, and knotted plastic bags, Khalil Chishtee creates evocative figural sculptures imbued with emotional tension, constructing his sculptures by artfully manipulating the plastic as if he were working with clay.

Rung Women's Traditional Dress ‘CHUNGBALA, now worn only on cultural occasions, the dress used to be all hand weaved from raw materials to the finish, the craft which is almost lost as now only less than five people are believed to know the craft of making it.
I see the urgency of the craft to be well documented and the skill to be learned by younger generation before it is too late.
