Sur-Srishti “Sur-Srishti” – a renowned cultural center at Malda being efficiently run by ANTARA BISWAS, an experienced Vocalist. It's situated in MALDA-732101

Antara started taking music lessons from her father Shri Biswanath Choudhury. At the age of five she was sent to Shri Tirtha Sinha, disciple of Pandit Vishnusevak Mishra, a Giant figure in the domain of music at Malda during that time. Later she was put under guidance of Md. Yunus Khan in 1987 when she started her training in Pure Classical Music (Hindustani). She also took lesson from Pandit Amar

nathji. In the year 2000 she became disciple of Pandit Tushar Dutta, groomed in SRA, Kolkata and had serious training for eight years. Thereafter she went to Pandit Arun Bhaduri and then to Bidushi Shubhra Guha. She also took lessons in light classical music like Thumri, Dadra, Tappa from the great Purnima Chowdhury. Antara has several awards and success to her credit – got third and fourth places in Bhajan and Khayal respectively in HMV All Bengal Talent Search Competition, held in Malda – stood Second in Khayal in State Youth Festival competition in 2002-03. Antara is quite experienced in music teaching – took classes in Shakhri Begum Memorial Trust School run by Ustad Rashid Khan in Kolkata for 4 years.
