KANNUR FRIENDS’ ASSOCIATION (Regd), popularly known by its acronym as KANFA and a name synonymous with charity was founded in 1988 by a few persons hailing from the Kannur District of Kerala, with a mission to help the downtrodden and oppressed of the society and at the same time spread the value of brotherhood and humanity in the extended suburb of Dombivli, In the formative stage, KANFAfunctioned from the house of one of its devout founder members. Due to the hard work and unstinted support as well as the magnanimous encouragement from its well-wishers, within a short span of its inception, KANFA was registered under the Charitable Trust Act and able to move into a small office of its own. When its members felt that the office space was insufficient to carry out KANFA’s increased activities, with the sheer hard work of its dedicated members, who are working in MNCs, Central/State Governments Organizations, private companies and several self-employed members, KANFA now proudly owns a spacious 1000 sq.ft office in the downtown Dombivli. KANFA is growing, by every passing year, to greater heights.
