Deeply concerned by the tragic loss of lives in Tuensang, suspected to be linked to spurious liquor. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May the departed souls rest in peace.

Nagaland is a dry state under total prohibition. How, then, is spurious liquor being sold so openly and reaching our people?

As investigations establish the facts, this tragedy demands serious answers, accountability and decisive action. Prohibition without effective enforcement cannot be allowed to become a shield for an illegal and dangerous liquor trade.

At least 10 persons have died in Tuensang over a period of three days, with the circumstances surrounding the deaths yet to be officially ascertained

This video takes me back to the campaign for Daniel Langthasa — to the conversations on the ground, the people we met, and the hopes and aspirations we heard along the way.

Campaigns come and go, but the voices, friendships and lessons from the road remain with us. Looking back is also a reminder of why we entered public life in the first place: to listen, to engage and to work towards a better future for our people.

Shri Nchumbemo Mozhui taking oath as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court marks a milestone that generations before us could only have hoped for. The first from our community to reach the Bench in independent India, it is a proud achievement, and an inspiration for those who will follow. My warmest congratulations and best wishes to him.

Murder most foul!

Chongtham Vikram Singh is dead. Brutally killed in Delhi.

Once again, we are forced to ask: How safe is the National Capital for people from the Northeast?

Delhi belongs to every Indian. No one should have to fear for their life simply for speaking up, standing their ground, or being who they are.

The killing of Vikram Singh is deeply disturbing and must not be allowed to become another forgotten case. We demand a swift, impartial and uncompromising investigation, and exemplary punishment for those responsible.

Throwback to a moment that demanded our collective conscience.

The tragic killing of Angel Chakma was a painful reminder that racism, hatred, and discrimination still have no place in our society.

We must speak up against every form of racial prejudice and stand together for dignity, equality, and justice. No one should be judged, targeted, or treated differently because of their race, identity, or where they come from.

Enough of racism. Enough of discrimination.

Let us build a society where every person can live with dignity, safety, and equal respect.
