: A section of the national highway in Assam’s Dhubri district turned into a drying yard for crops as several farmers spread paddy, maize and wheat across the road surface, disrupting the movement of vehicles and causing inconvenience to commuters.
The incident was reported from Tamarhat, where large portions of the highway were covered with harvested crops laid out for drying. Visuals from the area showed grains spread across both sides of the road, making traffic movement difficult.
Police later launched a clearance drive and removed the crops from the highway to restore normal vehicular movement in the area.
