: Fans and artists gathered beneath the Ganeshguri flyover in Guwahati on Thursday evening to recreate the mural of Zubeen Garg that had been erased earlier in the day during an ongoing city beautification drive.

The removal of the mural sparked widespread anger among the singerā€™s admirers, many of whom took to social media demanding an explanation and accountability for the act. As news of the erasure spread, fans assembled at the site and, along with local artists, began repainting the iconic portrait of the music legend.

Responding to the controversy, Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) Mayor Mrigen Sarania stated that the area does not fall under the corporationā€™s jurisdiction. He suggested that the mural may have been removed by contractors or labourers involved in the beautification work.
