Dibrugarh, Assam: In preparation for the upcoming elections, the district administration of Dibrugarh has successfully conducted the first phase of randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units.
The process was carried out under strict supervision of election officials to ensure transparency and fairness in the allocation of voting machines across different polling stations.
Officials stated that randomisation plays a crucial role in preventing any bias, as machines are assigned to constituencies through a completely computerised and unbiased system.
This marks an important milestone in the district’s election preparedness, reinforcing confidence in a free and fair electoral process. Further phases of randomisation and training procedures are expected to follow in the coming days.
