There’s something beautiful about spending 5 days doing something you’re not trying to be good at.

No deadlines. No notifications. No pressure.

Just clay on your hands, easy conversations, long afternoons, and sunsets that never get old.

You leave with a few pots, but also favourite meals, inside jokes, new friendships, and the feeling of being fully present.

Maybe that’s why we return—not to escape life, but to remember how it feels to slow down and be in it.

Hargun came to our Himachal studio hoping to learn the basics of pottery, meet new people, and spend a few days doing something different.

But somewhere between working with clay, sharing meals, walking through the mountains, and slowing down enough to hear her own thoughts again, the experience became much more than a pottery workshop.

As a practising psychologist, life is often spent holding space for others. These few days became a chance to create space for herself surrounded by nature, good food, proper rest, meaningful conversations, and a new creative practice she can carry back home.

The pottery pieces will travel with her, but so will a sense of calm, connection, and a reminder that sometimes the most valuable thing we make is time for ourselves.

Most of us spend our days consuming: emails, notifications, social media, news, and endless information.

This retreat is an invitation to do something different.

Spend five days making pottery, sharing meals, meeting new people, and taking time away from the pace of everyday life.

No prior experience is needed.

For five days, a group of strangers shared a studio in the mountains.

They came from different cities, different lives, carrying different reasons for being here. But by the end of the week, there were inside jokes, shared stories, clay-covered hands, and the kind of connections that make goodbyes a little difficult.

Pottery brought everyone together, but it was everything in between that made the experience memorable.

THE ELEVENTH EYE

Nobody knows where the first ten went. This is the one that remained.

This one was made to sit quietly in a corner, feeding on smoke and incense of all kinds, holding offerings, and witnessing everything that passes through.

Hand-sculpted, hand-painted, and finally awake.

What do you see when it looks back?

When Parvati, an actress and model from Mumbai, arrived at Himachal Studio, she wasn’t looking for a vacation, she was looking for a pause.

Drawn by the idea of slowing down, living amidst forests, learning pottery, and experiencing the simplicity of village life, she stepped away from the rush of the city and into a completely different rhythm.

Over the days, she shaped clay with her hands, created pieces she’ll take home forever, shared stories with new friends, and discovered the quiet joy of doing things slowly.

What she’s carrying back isn’t just pottery, it’s a sense of calm, a little more peace, and the reset she needed before returning to her busy life.

There is a version of Goa that doesn’t make it to travel guides. It’s found in quiet corners, long breakfasts, afternoon naps, and evenings that arrive without a plan. No checklists, no rush, no need to be anywhere else. Just enough space to slow down and notice things again. That’s the side of Goa we’ll choose every single time.
