[2007], the first instalment, has developed a cult status over the years... Matching those expectations is no easy task, especially since the magic created by , director , and remains strong to date.

What stands out most about is Shivam's story – this time, his bond with a child takes centre stage... The narrative takes a completely different path, with action pieces generously sprinkled across the proceedings.

The film starts off very well, with the child-trafficking issue clearly spelt out right at the outset... However, as it progresses, the narrative deviates into several sub-plots that could have been avoided.

Director shoulders a tremendous responsibility and, to his credit, handles several sequences smartly:
⭐ The car chase on the streets of Bangkok at the very start;
⭐ The backstory of Disha, Anirudh Rawal, and Puran Gabbi's parents;
⭐ The finale.

Additionally, he smartly incorporates flashes from the first part, leveraging the recall value and nostalgia factor... These moments seamlessly connect the two films while giving fans a sense of familiarity.

Writers and ensure that the backbone of the story – – remains the focal point... The writers also know when to hold back and when to hit hard, resulting in several sequences that genuinely stay with you.

is superb as Shivam... He brings vulnerability, intensity, and a lived-in quality to the character, making Shivam's journey deeply affecting... This is one of the most compelling performances of his filmography.

delivers a sincere and emotionally charged performance, while deserved more screen time, with some punch-packed sequences that match her talent.

, as the antagonist, is effective, but goes overboard at places... enacts his part with conviction... and lend able support.

The music of is a definite plus, although comparisons with the first part are inevitable.
