My love for glass painting is the oldest. I loved glass colors so much that when my school art teacher asked us to get glass colors because we'll be learning glass painting in the next class, I couldn't wait for a week to learn it and brought the finished glass painting in the class where we were to learn how to do it. Yes! I was that eager and impatient.
It was my very first encounter with these colors. I had always admired glass paintings but hadn't tried one. It was the first. And that too without even my teacher telling me how to do it. It was like I always knew how to do it. It just came naturally to me. I painted a Mickey Mouse back then. I was very happy with the result. My teacher too was very surprised seeing the finished painting. She couldn't believe I did it on my own without any help. And that's a 9-10 year old me I am talking about, with no help from parents and no, we didn't have as much access to the Internet as we have now!
So, that's where it all began. The love has grown with time, and I enjoy doing it even more now. Popping out the bubbles feels as if I am popping out the problems in my life. It's that therapeutic. Oh! And the smell of these water-based glass colors from works as a mood booster.
Presenting...the painting 'Self-love'
