👉Khamosh! Adaalat Jaari Hai!👈

Khamosh! Adaalat Jaari Hai!” is a thought provoking play by Vijay Tendulkar’s, Design & Directed by Avtar Sahni that introduced a daring new perspective in Indian theatre The narrative centers on Leela Benare, a schoolteacher who becomes the defendant in a mock trial organized by the amateur theatre group she is part of, facing accusations of immorality and extramarital affairs. What initially seems to be a fictional courtroom proceeding gradually unveils the harsh truths of her existence. Her dreams, love, and desire for motherhood are denounced as sin by societal standards. The storyline reveals how society’s “court” is always in operation, with women subjected to a “trial” every single day.
