Katha Ek Kans Ki by Rohit Tripathi

Katha Ek Kans Ki by Rohit Tripathi This play is striving to put this hypothesis in the most seamless manner. An Epic Mythological Play in Contemporary Theatrical Idiom

Upstage Art Group presents Katha Ek Kans Ki. The “King of Mathura” is a reinterpretation of a well-known Indian mythological tale in contemporary theatrical idiom. King Kans of Mathura has been portrayed as a dictator, who is no different from modern-day dictators like Hi**er, Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, etc. Thus, King Kans’ story is the story of all the dictators who appear on the world stage, from ti

me to time, in different countries. In effect, this play becomes a clinical analysis of the phenomena of dictatorship, shaped into a play to entertain and enlighten contemporary theatre audiences. A theatrical play written by Daya Prakash Sinha 'Katha Ek Kans Ki' Directed by Rohit Tripathi. Most of the cast of this play are alumni of Shri Ram Centre.
