Taking place annually in India’s capital, New Delhi, India Art Fair, presented in partnership with BMW India, reflects the city’s fast-developing local arts scene, while offering curated insights into the cultural landscapes of neighbouring countries. The fair’s programme - which draws together galleries and artists, private foundations and arts charities, artists’ collectives, national institutions, cultural events and festivals - enables international audiences to engage in innovative ways with the cultural history and development of the region. The fair is committed to supporting arts education and professional development opportunities, recognising the crucial need to support the development of the local arts scene, and provide dedicated exhibition space to emerging galleries and arts organisations. 50 years, 20 visionary artists, and a remarkable legacy of artistic innovation!

Jaya Asokan (Jaya Asokan ) Fair Director, India Art Fair, joined BMW in Munich for a special walkthrough of the iconic 𝗕𝗠𝗪 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, celebrating five decades of artistic expression and 11 years of the India Art Fair × BMW India partnership.

From pioneering collaborations to bold artistic visions, the collection brought together some of the world’s most celebrated artists, including Esther Mahlangu (Esther Mahlangu ) whose groundbreaking Art Car brought the vibrant visual traditions of Ndebele art to the global stage.

The visit also marked 11 years of our creative partnership with BMW India (BMW India ), reflecting a shared commitment to championing artistic practice, fostering cultural exchange, and bringing art to new audiences across generations and geographies.

A celebration of 50 years of art in motion, and a partnership that continues to push the boundaries of creativity!

October brings with it a season of festivities, moments to celebrate and memories to cherish. As we look forward to an exciting month of art and culture, both at home and around the world, we’re taking a moment to revisit what made 𝗜𝗔𝗙 𝗘𝗗𝗜+𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 so special — three unforgettable days of art, conversations, discovery and creative exchange across the city.

From our city-wide programme on 18 September to two vibrant days at the beautiful Baronet House (Sanjay M.S. Raval Skill Centre), IAF EDI+IONS Ahmedabad was a celebration of the city’s rich cultural landscape and the incredible community of artists, galleries, patrons and art enthusiasts who brought it to life.

An art advisor, collector and founder of The Knowledge Convergence Foundation (tkcf.in ), Bhandare shares her thoughts on the growing presence of women artists, the importance of engaging with art beyond collecting, and how TKCF’s residencies foster exchange and exploration among artists.

𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, a painting exhibition by Sheetal Gattani (sheetal gattani ), curated by collector Anurag Khanna (Anurag Khanna ), rediscovers the pleasure of simply looking.

Spanning over three decades, Gattani’s works draw us into a world of vivid colours, deep blacks and unfamiliar forms, where the familiar is carefully dismantled into new ways of seeing.

In a world of endless scrolling and fleeting distractions, the exhibition offers a chance to slow down, stay present and immerse ourselves in the beauty of the moment.

Last two days to experience 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. The exhibition is on view till 10 October 2026 at Chemould Prescott Road (Chemould Prescott Road ) Mumbai.

Introducing the India Art Fair × KALĀ Artist-in-Residence 2027, 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗱(Bilaal Raji Saheed ).

Based in Colombo, Bilaal is an artist and designer whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, craft, installation and digital media. Trained as an architect, he brings together design, research and artistic practice to explore the complexities of contemporary life.

Drawing from South Asian social and political histories, memory, family, spirituality and the distractions of everyday life, Bilaal’s work moves across mediums to create layered reflections on the world around him. His work has been exhibited in Colombo, Hong Kong, London, Jeddah, Berlin and Goa.

We’re excited to support the next chapter of Bilaal’s practice through the programme at India Art Fair 2027, in collaboration with and supported by KALĀ (KALĀ )
