Today, Third Space Collective held its first event as part of the Of Stage Theatre Festival, 2018.

ADDA: IDENTITY- मायने और माध्यम was a stimulating, insightful commencement of the Of Stage Theatre Festival 2018. Conversations, performances & activities around what defines us as individuals & a collective and how we preserve our identity in the presence of alien elements made for an exciting & exhilarating candle lit evening.

We are thankful to Ragini Singh Khushwaha from Drama School Mumbai for being a part of our ADDA sharing their vision and working with all of us.

Our final mentor for Of Stage Theatre Festival 2018 is Himanshu Kohli. An alumnus of the Kirori Mal College and the National School of Drama, Himanshu has done much theatre in his time in both these institutions. Post NSD, he has done some very acclaimed independent films like Mrs Scooter, Shlok Sharma's Zoo etc. He has acted in an international film, This will end in murder, which is due to release in 2019. Himanshu can also be seen in hit Bollywood thriller 'Ittefaq' which released in 2017.

Besides acting, Himanshu has also ventured into direction several times. He directed a play called Black Bird with Swanand Kirkire and Salony Luthra as actors. The play traveled to many festivals across India including NSD's Bharangam festival. It did many shows as part of the theatre at home movement and went on to become a major success.

Himanshu is the mentor for Abhivyakti- The Dramatics Society of IP College. Below are some photographs from his sessions with the amazing team of IP college.

Our second mentor of Of Stage is the multi-faceted Sheena Khalid. A graduate of The London School of Performing Arts, she runs the Mumbai based theatre company called The Patchworks Ensemble. An actor, a director and a faculty at the Drama School Mumbai, Sheena is known for plays like Gentleman's Club AKA Tape, Fly By Night and her Ila which she co-directed with Puja Sarup.

We are grateful to Drama School Mumbai and Sheena for agreeing to be part of our festival. Sheena is mentoring the The Shakespeare Society of St. Stephens college in their production to premier at the Of Stage Theatre Festival. Below are some images from their first session.

Presenting, Our first mentor for Of Stage Theatre Festival.

Ms Manjima Chatterjee, an eminent theatre practitioner and educator based in Delhi, has also been the recipient of the prestigious The Hindu MetroPlus Playwright award for her script The Mountain of Bones. In 2010, her play Limbo was shortlisted for The Hindu MetroPlus Playwright Award.
Ms Manjima is currently a theatre faculty at the Shiv Nadar School, Noida.

On the 18th of August, we officially welcomed the three final colleges into the of stage family.

Over the next two months, these 3 colleges will be working towards creating their production on Paloma's riveting scripts.

Mark your calendars everyone, Of Stage Theatre Festival on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of October at Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi!

Presenting Paloma Pedrero, a woman of many talents; an eminent contemporary Spanish playwright, one of the most innovative ones Spanish literature has seen, a theatre director and a famous actress.

We are ecstatic to announce that Paloma is our playwright for Of Stage Theatre Festival 2018. She has been most kind and given us the opportunity to try and create meaningful and stimulating productions out of her scripts.

Hello

We want to extend a big thank you to all the colleges who applied to Of Stage Theatre festival 2018 by Third Space Collective in partnership with Instituto Cervantes. We received overwhelming responses from everywhere and had a blast going through all the extremely interesting ideas that formed the applications.

After 2 extensive rounds of selection process, we have finalized three colleges that will be taking part in this years edition of Of Stage Theatre Festival.

The final 3 colleges are *drumrolls*:
1) The Shakespeare Society- St. Stephens College
2) Abhivyakti- The Dramatics Society of IP College
3) Yakshagna- The Theatre Society of NIEC

Congratulations to all three teams. Looking forward to an exhilarating festival!
