Raju Mehandi Raju Mehandi is doing henna off and on for about 30 years. They started at the age of 16 when his father brought home a book about Krishna.

He started at the age of 16 when his father brought home a book about Krishna.At first his 'henna' consisted of magic markers. But eventually with a little help, he figured it out. During his teenage years he abandoned the art form almost completely. Boys and fun seemed more important and other artistic endeavors caught his attention. It didn't help that no one really understood henna or what he was doing. The confused looks and constant questions were an unwelcome annoyance
