"माँ! माँ बोलो ना !!!!"

नन्ही प्रिया, माँ के पीछे पीछे सारे घर में घूमती।

"तू तो सवालों का खज़ाना है। इत्ती छोटी सी उम्र में तुझे क्या क्या जानना है? चल ठीक है, पूछ। "

"माँ, ये आसमान इतना दूर क्यों है?

मछलियां बात क्यों नहीं कर सकतीं?

तारे टिमटिमाते क्यों हैं?

हम उड़ क्यों नहीं सकते?

फूल मुरझाते क्यों हैं?

हम रोते क्यों हैं?

मेरे दाँत टूटते क्यों हैं?"

प्रिया के मासूम सवालों की रेल चल पड़ी तो बस चल ही पड़ी।

माँ ने कहा, " अरी रुक जा रुक जा गुड़िया। इत्ती छोटी सी तू और इतने बड़े-बड़े सवाल? कहाँ से आते हैं तेरे दिमाग में?" माँ सोंच में पड़ गयी कि इस 4 साल की गुड़िया को कैसे समझाए? इन सवालों के जवाब कहाँ से लाये?

Had a wonderful session today at the Children's Pavillion, World Book Fair Pragati Maidan New Delhi. It was a pleasure meeting Richa Jha, Rubin Sir and some of my batchmates from NBT publishing course.
A day well spent.

Conducting a workshop for NBT has always been a pleasurable experience. It was a fantastic feeling to narrate a story to 350+ children between 3-6 yrs. Loved every moment of it. Thank you National Book Trust, India for the opportunity

Wednesday Morning Fun daa!!

As a daily ritual, I pick up my Delhi Times and read it to my satisfaction with my morning cup of tea.
Today, there was this small activity on the front page which said, Go from Reader to Author.

So, I took up the task and tried this activity. It was fun to think within word limits but I enjoyed it to the fullest.
Good brain utilisation in the morning. Great idea .times

Day before: I am still excited and grated up for my Storytelling session at NBT, National Book Trust, India
Last Morning: the stomach bug hit me so hard, I could barely walk and talk
By evening: still very weak.. But I want to take this session. There is no question of dropping it.
This morning: I get ready, put on my red lipstick and reach NBT
The moment I see the group of little ones waiting eagerly for me, I suddenly gather the strength from somewhere and lo, 2 hours pass by without any problem.
Thank you God for being there for me. Had a lovely session today.
Thank you NBT Book Trust, India for the opportunity.
