We're happy to share that the Jugmug Art & Culture Project is supporting the Bansa Community Library!

All the preloved books donated to Bansa Library in English are available for sale at our cafe now! With every purchase, funds raised directly contribute to the library, facilitating the acquisition of new books in Hindi for the library and members.

Jugmug Art & Culture Project is always working towards creating and supporting cultural initiatives. In this regard, we have decided to support the Bansa Community Library, which is the first free community library of Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh. Their work strives to provide access to books and resources in their village. The bansa library is not just limited to one village but, is catering to 36 villages, impacting the population of 40,000.

April 20th, 6:30 pm onwards, Adwait Singh will be in conversation with Amba, Nupur and Sohrab about their practices. If you'd like to come in earlier, the space is open 4:30 pm onwards. If not DEFINITELY come by 6:30 to see these 4 in dialog! Sohrab's also promised to have some copies of his new publication to be available so don't miss out!!

French Trumpeter Louis Aspord is making his India Debut, and plans on having a fun Saturday night ~ He invites you to be a part of it. �If you play an Instrument, bring it along & Jam! If you don't, come to listen and enjoy. Free Entry.

About Louis:
Louis Aspord studied Trumpet at the Conservatory of Music in Strasbourg, France. He has played in many formations and is versatile in multiple genres of music like classic, jazz/swing, reggae, pop-rock & contemporary music.
He studied trumpet with some of the world's biggest Trumpet legends, and is now working with Arnaud Petit, a great french composer. Louis also has degree in musicology from University of Grenoble, France. .
