Dear friends of Barefoot -
After much thought and deliberation, we are finally closing down Barefoot as a theatre company. The space itself shut down in July of last year. And now Dhruv, Gunjan, Pali, Shena and Tapesh make their exit stage left (we hope gracefully!).
We can’t help remembering Shivam so very much. He always said, “theatre is a way of life” – and it is that spirit that carries on, whether or not the company exists or not. We love you Shivam, and always will.
Pranav, also one of the co-founders of the company, is remembered as well – thank you Pranav for all the energy and effort you put in.
And, of course, so many, many thanks to all of you who graced the space, our work and our lives with your presence, work, sweat, dance, music, masti, learning and so much more. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you with whom Barefoot has had the privilege and joy of sharing the experience of theatre with. You have enriched our lives beyond what words can convey. Thank you.
The Barefoot Instagram and pages, as well as specific shows-based pages, will continue to exist, but strictly as archival memory spaces only.
Thank you once again –and wishing all of you the magic of theatre always, from the bottom of our hearts.
