Art takes flight at Noida International Airport.

Padma Shri artist Paresh Maity transforms one of India’s newest aviation gateways into a space of cultural reflection through six monumental paintings and his immersive installation Mystic Abode. Drawing from the spiritual and cultural landscapes of Uttar Pradesh from Varanasi and Sarnath to Ayodhya and the Mahakumbh- the works explore themes of journey, memory, awakening, and belonging.

Blending contemporary Indian art with public infrastructure, this landmark commission reimagines the airport not merely as a transit hub, but as a cultural gateway connecting heritage, place, and people.

For P. Gopinath, art became a way to explore emotion, memory, and the subtleties of human experience. Balancing figuration with abstraction, his compositions are shaped by fluid forms, layered textures, and a quiet sense of rhythm.

Through expressive surfaces and contemplative spaces, Gopinath creates works that reflect both the intimacy of everyday life and the deeper landscapes of the mind.

For Ram Kumar, the landscape was never merely a depiction of nature, it became a way to express human emotion, silence, isolation, and the shifting states of the mind. Moving away from figuration, he transformed hills, rivers, and clustered forms into psychological spaces shaped by stillness and contemplation.

Through fragmented structures, layered surfaces, and restrained compositions, Kumar created landscapes that reflect both the external world and the quiet complexities of human experience.

A life woven with imagination, symbolism, and a quiet sense of wonder.

From the artistic spirit of Paris to a practice nourished by memory, travel, and contemplation, Maite Delteil has created paintings that feel suspended between dream and reality. Her works unfold like gentle meditations where nature, mythology, and emotion meet in luminous harmony.

With delicate precision and poetic restraint, she transforms colour and form into spaces of stillness and introspection. Her worlds are intimate yet expansive, carrying within them a timeless beauty that continues to resonate deeply.

Celebrating an artist whose vision has turned silence into poetry and imagination into light. Wishing her a beautiful birthday and many more years of creating art that continues to enchant, illuminate, and inspire.

A life shaped by colour, intuition, and an unrelenting imagination.

From the quiet lanes of Tamluk to an international presence, Paresh Maity’s journey reflects a deep commitment to seeing and feeling the world through art. His works do not merely depict they pulse with movement, memory, and atmosphere, holding within them the fleeting essence of place.

Working through an intuitive yet disciplined process, he begins with observation and quick studies, later expanding them into immersive compositions across watercolour, oil, and mixed media. His forms drift between figuration and abstraction, landscapes dissolving into rhythm, architecture into light, and human presence into suggestion. At the heart of his practice lies an exploration of experience itself, where light and colour become vessels of emotion, and the visible transforms into something deeply felt.

Celebrating an artist whose vision continues to resonate across generations.

Baul and Vaishnabi (2011) by Ganesh Pyne are works shaped by inwardness, quiet, restrained, and deeply introspective. Rendered in conte, the figures emerge from dim, indeterminate spaces, removed from the specificity of place or time. A Baul singer with his ektara and a Vaishnavite saint - these are depictions of of a shared inner state. The figures remain suspended, self-contained, and inwardly absorbed, held within a quiet stillness.

The Wonder That Is Life by Vinita Karim is a work built from memory- layered, accumulated, and deeply felt.
Across stacked bands of embroidery on Dhaka muslin, Karim weaves a cityscape that belongs to no single place yet feels entirely known. Alexandria, Venice, the stone geometry of Petra, the sacred banks of the Ganges and the Nile, ancient trade routes compressed into a single horizon beneath a soft crescent moon.
Born from a life lived across continents, Karim's practice transforms architectural memory into something tactile and luminous. Each stitch holds the weight of a journey of markets visited, coastlines crossed, cities loved and left behind.

In Affection, a guardian and child stand beneath a tree at the centre of the composition, a simple yet powerful image of protection and continuity. The tree rises as a sign of growth and endurance, suggesting stability even in times of political and social uncertainty. Around them, the world unfolds gently: birds, flowers and patterned borders populate the flanking panels, reminding us of how deeply human life remains interwoven with the rhythms of nature.

The resonance of what seems personal and homely is broader. By using the scenes inspired by the life of peasants their silent, dignified life, their unity with nature, Dutta creates a visual tapestry, which speaks of resilience. His meticulous tempera technique enriches the surface with vibrant colour and delicate detail.
