This 13th century temple (1250 CE) dedicated to Surya or Sun in Konark, Odisha, was built during the reign of the king Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty. Conceived as a chariot on wheels and carved out of stone, the monument is now in ruins but is awe-inspiring and is a classic representation of Kalinga architecture. Poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore remarked with reference to Konark that ‘’here the language of the stone surpasses the language of man’’. It was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

One of the iconic symbols of Indian temple architecture, it is designed and depicted in the shape of a chariot drawn by spirited horses supported by 24 wheels. The wheels are about 9.9 feet in diameter and are embellished with intricate carvings.

Har Ki Doon or Har Ki Dun is a cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Himalayas of , India. The region is surrounded with green Bugyals (High Altitude Meadows). It is surrounded by snow-covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is connected to Baspa Valley by the Borasu Pass.

This valley is about 3566 m (11700 ft) above mean sea level and is snow-covered from October to March.
