I have a combined update from Days 3 and 4 of my

I finished doing the motifs yesterday and figured out the overall layout today along with some tweaks. I still have not worked on the final colorways for this pattern but I think I will first develop the entire collection before thinking of additional colorways. May even change my mind about the hero pattern later on ;) But for now, this was good progress on both days.

What are your thoughts on this pattern? Do you think it makes for a good wallpaper?

It’s been a slightly sluggish day… but we showed up anyway 💪✨

Even with a packed schedule, I carved out 2 solid hours of pattern design work — and honestly, that small win feels big.

For Day 2 of my , I revisited an older pattern and explored multiple new colorways for it, then uploaded them across all relevant platforms. It’s definitely a time-intensive process, but it’s also a strategic one.

If you’re building a surface design portfolio, this is your reminder: work smarter, not just harder. 🎨
A single pattern can transform completely with new color stories — reaching different moods, markets, and aesthetics. What feels soft and romantic in one palette can feel bold and contemporary in another.

The recoloring journey may take time… but it’s absolutely worth it. More versatility = more visibility = more potential sales 📈✨

Sharing just a handful from the 50+ colorways I created for my pattern “Blooming Snowdrops.”

Which one is your favorite? 💬👇

Hey guys ✨

The 100 Day Project is here! It officially kicked off on Sunday, 22nd February 2026 — and after a lot of thought and deliberation, I’ve decided to create my own version this year:

100 Days of Surface Design.

But I’m treating this less like a rigid challenge and more like 100 days of play.

For the next 100 days, I’m committing to spending at least two hours daily doing something related to surface pattern design. Some days I’ll be sketching and ideating. Some days I’ll create full-fledged motifs or complete patterns. Other days might be about refining, exploring colour variants, or even sharing previously created patterns. Not every day has to mean a brand-new finished piece — and that’s intentional.

Surface pattern design is already a big part of my work, but class content, YouTube, and other projects often take priority — and this part quietly gets pushed aside. This year, I want to consciously grow my portfolio. So this is me choosing consistency.

I don’t have expectations about how many final outputs will come out of this. What I do care about is showing up every day and making progress.

This is an open-ended exploration — experimenting with ideas, techniques, materials, and approaches — without the pressure of producing one finished project daily. In the past, I’ve done 100-day projects where I aimed for one complete output every day… and honestly, that can get exhausting. The pressure builds.

So this time, I’m choosing progress over perfection. Process over pressure.

I’m technically starting a day late — but that’s okay. We start when we’re ready.

I’ll be sharing snippets of the journey here every day.
Let’s see where these 100 days take us 💛

Found a picture of an old Mixed Media project that was my demo piece during an offline workshop that I took in the summer of 2022 in Pune, India. It was a lot of fun, hopping between cities / countries conducting art workshops while also filming for my film-making projects. I love that both my chosen career paths take me to new places! :)

I always feel like I want to go back to conducting offline workshops again but it takes massive amount of planning as well as financial risk. As the world switched to most-things-online in 2020, I find that a lot of people still prefer to do things at their own pace with online learning rather than offline activities. I, for one, enjoy a little cocoon where I can have low/no interaction with others for days so I can just do my own thing. But there is also something so beautiful and comforting about connecting with like-minded people and growing your community. I think I might just try to find that balance this year and hopefully fulfil the requests of those who have been asking me to resume my offline workshops again. :) No promises though! Haha! We’ll see how things go…

Have flowers? Must click photos 🌟😜

My class on Neurographic Art on Skillshare touched 280 students and I love looking at your recreations. This was one of the projects that I demonstrated in the class using prismacolor pencils.✏️

So that’s my Sunday update. What’s up with you?.

Was in re-organising mode when I found these old artworks from the Covid lockdown in 2020. Those were strange times! Not that we are in any less strange times now 😅

These were all pieces made during online workshops that I was teaching at the time.
