I have seen a lot of times people looking down upon female friendships. People make fun of how women hype each other, keep talking constantly, etc. It is so sad to see all of that. The friendships are so pure. The people I’m closest to are women. I just have to tell them what situation I was in and they’ll understand what I had gone through. We share the wound of living in a patriarchal, sexist and misogynist world. We hype each other to empower each other. We create a safe space for each other.

“Harr baar Feminism ka jhanda utha ke khadi ho jaati hai!”
^I have heard this phrase so many times from men and it is irritates me to the max.

To all the mean who have ever said this to me or anyone, yes we women do stand bearing the flag of feminism because we are the ones who face discrimination in every form way more than you. You don’t know what it is to be a minority. You don’t know what it is like to be told how to do every single single thing from clothes to body posture. So please keep your privilege to your self and do us women favour this women’s day by not using this phrase and if you see something anti-feminist, you also stand with the flag of feminism. That’s the bare minimum you can do.
