I’m excited to share that all fourteen episodes of "Tungrelnama" are now available for streaming, and with this, the first season comes to an end.
The Tungrelnama podcast, although somewhat unsuccessfully, attempts to bring sciences and arts together by crafting a narrative on an imaginary distant planet where sound frequencies, rather than food, sustain life. Through Tungrel, an extraterrestrial being who relies on sonic energies for survival, Tungrelnama is a contemplative expression of how sound frequencies behold the potential of challenging the foundations of conventional “human” thought. This work is neither strictly academic nor solely artistic; rather, it merges elements from both realms in an unsystematic, exploratory approach. By delving into the biological, mathematical, cultural, and historical facets of sound, noise, and silence, it questions foundational principles of modern scientific thought, bridging the sensory experience of sound with broader philosophical and cultural inquiries.
While I'm not completely satisfied with the work I've done, retrospectively, I realize I could have been more mindful of the economy of words. Still, I'm glad to have completed an entire season of my first Bangla podcast.
