I was given this opportunity by the Goyche Fudle Pilge Khatir (GFPK) to present my views on the present state of Goa and what could be its cure. In my two hour presentation I have highlighted that today Goa is the best State in India in terms of GDP per Capita, Human Development Index, Literacy, Standard of living, etc. However, due to wrong policies followed by the State and Union government, we have one of the highest unemployment rates, our lands are snatched away, our environment is destroyed and our youg generation is left to fend for themselves with no hope. I have demanded that teh provisions provided in the constitution to protect the natices of teh Nort Eastern States such as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh should also be extended and made applicable to Goa such as Inner Line Permit to enter Goan and No Income tax for local Goans on personal earning in Goa. If their land is protected and cannot be purchased by non-residents, why Goa's land is not protected? We should get Justice, I demand justice for Goans.
