We don’t mind spending ₹50 on a cup of tea.
But show us a ₹50 delivery charge… and suddenly, we become financial advisors. 😂
Tea: ₹30
Banana fritter: ₹20
Total: ₹50.
No problem.
But order something online for ₹200…
Delivery charge: ₹50.
Suddenly:
“WHAT? ₹50 JUST FOR DELIVERY?”
“Forget it. I’ll go and buy it myself.”
The funny part?
We were perfectly happy spending that same ₹50 at the tea shop.
But when that ₹50 is labelled “Delivery Charge,” it suddenly feels expensive.
Why?
Because we don't always judge money by its amount.
We judge it by what we think we're getting in return.
₹50 for tea and a snack feels like an experience.
₹50 for delivery feels like an expense.
That's why we can casually spend ₹500 on something we don't really need…
…but get genuinely irritated over a ₹40 parking fee. 😂
Maybe the real question isn't:
“How much did I spend?”
It's:
“What did I feel I got for the money?”
What’s that one small charge that annoys you every single time?
Delivery fee? Parking fee? Service charge? 😄
