Naalu Veedu- literally meaning 4 houses

This is a combination of ul vaaru and veli vaaru with constant twists and turns which when done with flow and control is a beautiful sight to see. Naalu Veedu is an unique move seen only in silambam

We ended the workshop with learning & combining
Naalu Veedu
Ul vaaru
Veli vaaru
Girukki
Udaans

All this with a combination of sequential direction change becomes an invincible move for any opponent

Udaans: Yet another signature move of silambam

This includes the combination of
Jumps
Twist
Turns

If Girukki is for dealing with multiple opponents in the same place then udaans is for dealing
with multiple opponents in a bigger area.

With udaans the warrior can command a much larger space.
Yes! We got better day by day :D

Getting better with what we learnt on Day 5 - Girukki - Learning to change the direction of the line of attack through Girukki.

This would help the warrior to
Deal with multiple opponents
From different directions

:

Introduction to Girukki. Girukki in Tamil literally translates to dizziness. True to its name continuous Girukki makes a person feel dizzy ( ok, stop! we wont let you fall all that soon! )

This means that this move needs good balance in the warrior pose - say thanks to Day 1 of practice!

Girukki is a signature move in silambam where the warrior can deal with two opponents who are standing front and back of you.

This move enables the warrior to deal with one opponent using head attack and the other with groin attack; all this without stopping the stick spin! Yes, you read that right!
