It is in her loving memory, on her Birthday that we present this special concert by Dr. Lakshmipriya, a PhD scholar in Music and a highly knowledgeable performer. Every performance of this young musician is a rich classical feast, marked by brilliance, depth and hard work. Joining her is young violinist R. Srikritii, whose sweet melody and spontaneity bring a special brightness to the concert. Sannath Parameshwaran on the Mridangam and the talented Karaikkal Jaikishan on the Ghatam promise vibrant, energetic rhythm that will surely lift the evening. Arya Nagarajan, already making a mark on the Carnatic stage, is the proud recipient of this year’s Times Thyagaraja Award. She will be joined by V. Mridula, a worthy disciple of the brilliant violinist Vidwan R. Raghul, whose melodious violin is sure to add colour to the evening. On the mridangam, Thrissur K. Sudev, a bright disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi, Padma Shri Awardee, Vidwan Thiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam, will bring his vibrant and dynamic rhythm. Pushkaram's main concert for the day is a traditional Carnatic concert by Vidwan T. V. S. Mahadevan. Vidwan T. V. S. Mahadevan is a prominent Carnatic classical vocalist and the son and disciple of the legendary Padma Bhushan Sangita Kalanidhi T. V. Sankaranarayanan, carrying forward the prestigious musical lineage and bani of his grand-uncle, the legendary Vidwan Madurai Mani Iyer. He is supported by the rich and melodious violin of Vidwan R. The month of August is very special to Rukmini Arts and Music Trust as it celebrates the memory of Guru Bombay S Ramachandran sir with respect and love. Today is the first of the series of concerts in his fond memory.
The first concert at 4.30 pm is by Anugrah Lakshman. Anugrah is a highly talented young Carnatic Musician who is devoted to the deeply classical style of Carnatic music. He is accompanied by Shyam Ragav, an excellent young Violin artist and T Karthik, another bright young talent on the Mridangam.
The main concert of the evening is by the well-known, well-liked and celebrated young artist Shreya Devanath on the Violin. She is accompanied on the Mridangam by the gifted genius N C Bharadwaj and the cheerful rhythm of N Guruprasad on the Ghatam.

Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan is among the exciting new generation of pravachana exponents who have been captivating audiences in recent years. Admired for his impeccable Tamil diction and engaging style, Madhusudhanan will speak on a subject that is especially close to his heart—Lord Shiva. As a teacher associated with the revered Dharmapuram Aadheenam, he is uniquely suited to present this topic. Adding a special dimension to the discourse is Sadgurunatha Odhuvar, who will render the sacred hymns connected to the topic. Odhuvars are the torchbearers of the ancient Saiva Thirumurai tradition, preserving and presenting these divine verses in their pristine form. Dr. V. K. Arun Kumar, a PhD in Carnatic Music, is an A Grade artiste of AIR and, above all, a senior disciple of Sangeetha Kala Acharya Smt. Seetha Rajan. Based overseas, he has travelled to Chennai to join his beloved Gurukulam as it celebrates its Annual Day. Taking this rare opportunity, Lalitharam of Parivadini has curated this special concert at Ragasudha, offering rasikas an evening of pure and pristine Carnatic music.
Arun is joined by Dr. Sudha R. S. Iyer on the violin, whose refined artistry and melodious accompaniment beautifully enhance the music. On the mridangam is Shri T. R. S. Manikantan, a brilliant percussionist known for his superb rhythmic finesse.

Dr. Premeela Gurumurthy is a distinguished scholar, an accomplished musician, an eminent musicologist, and a celebrated Harikatha exponent. Her remarkable journey has seen her serve as Professor and Head of the Department of Indian Music at the University of Madras, Dean at Vels University, Dean of the University of Madras, and later as the Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University. Her contributions to Carnatic music have been immense and enduring. My father, Sri S. V. Krishnan, and Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri T. K. Govinda Rao, a close friend of my father, held her in the highest regard and were among her best well-wishers. It gives us immense joy to welcome Dr. Premeela Gurumurthy to Ragasudha. She will be joined by two highly respected senior artistes—Vidwan Pakkala Ramdas on the violin and Vidwan Thanjavur Kumar on the mridangam. 31st July is a very special day for our beloved Ragasudha Rasika, Smt. Lokanayaki (Shantha) Srinivasan. To celebrate this day with the entire Ragasudha family she has requested Naada Inbam to request and arrange a grand Carnatic concert by Vidwan Sikkil Gurucharan. A world-renowned Carnatic musician deeply rooted in the classical tradition, Vidwan Sikkil Gurucharan is a much-loved artiste whose concerts are eagerly awaited in leading sabhas across the world. Yet, in the eyes of Lokanayaki Teacher, who taught Sanskrit at Vidya Mandir School, he is still the talented young schoolboy who captivated everyone at school with his music. It is a touching tribute that this "schoolboy" has gladly agreed to perform at Naada Inbam, Ragasudha, fulfilling his beloved teacher's wish. Joining him are two outstanding young accompanists personally chosen by Vidwan Gurucharan—VSP Gayatri Sivani on the violin and Adharsh Devarajan on the mridangam—both admired for their exceptional artistry and vibrant performances. Completing the ensemble is Vidwan Prasanna Hariharan, whose sensitive and aesthetic ghatam playing adds a perfect rhythmic complement to the music. August opens on a memorable note with the Kalki Trust Award Ceremony at Ragasudha. The days that follow unfold like the pages of a captivating Kalki novel, each concert offering a unique musical experience. The second day of the month features a concert by a distinguished senior vidwan renowned for her scholarship. Parivadini, an organization hand in hand with our Ragasudha and Music, presents two wonderful programmes. Rukmini Arts and Music Trust continues its cherished tradition of offering exceptional concerts in fond memory of Guru Bombay S. Ramachandran this month. Pushkaram Trust shines the spotlight on promising young talent through its thoughtfully curated concerts. Naada Inbam fondly remembers Smt. Shankari Natarajan with an excellent youth concert. Right at the heart of the month comes Guruguhaamrta's deeply researched and beautifully conceived programme, one of August's true highlights. That very weekend, Sarvani presents its much-awaited 28th Four Hour Concert.The family of Smt. Andal and Sri V. Ananthanarayanan continues their parents' noble mission by presenting two exceptional concerts this month. We are also honoured to host a concert in memory of Smt. Usharani and Sri Soundara Rajan. Kalai Foundation returns with another of its engaging thematic presentations, where the ideas are every bit as compelling as the music. No August at Ragasudha is complete without the much-loved programme of the Lakshmi Kuppuswami Trust. Naada Inbam celebrates the birthday of Vidwan Sri D. Seshachary with a special concert. The family of Shri B. Shivaraman and Smt. Lakshmi Shivaraman has arranged a delightful programme in their cherished memory, while the family of Smt. Rukmini Balakrishnan and Justice Sri P. V. Balakrishna Iyer sponsors a vibrant youth concert in their honour. . Naada Inbam is happy to celebrate the Birthday of Voleti Venkatesvarulu with a concert by his senior disciple. Sumanasa Foundation brings the timeless grandeur of Nadaswaram to Ragasudha with a concert steeped in tradition. The month concludes with a concert by a young artiste who has long dreamt of singing at Naada Inbam before returning to the United States, carrying with her the treasured memory of performing at Ragasudha.
