As we are just about to pass the year which actually had a day when the world ended (;), and as most of you are celebrating at pubs, house parties, cafes, verandahs, terraces, TASMACs, beaches, parks, roads and all, OHO Productions is glad to wish you all a great new year, decade, and half a century that's ahead of you. :) :)

Oho got launched this very year (2012), went onto do 3 (almost ;)) houseful shows of our debut production - REFLECTIONS, launched a brand-new-brand (howzittt??) Kaapicheenu, did many kutty shows/workshops, got featured in the Times of India, Puthiya Thalaimurai, et al. So, Oho has got off the mark with 2012.

But we have just got off the mark. Wait for the *saravedi* in 2013.

Oho till then. :):)

At the last lap of 2012, Oho is glad to see our client - Kaapicheenu get featured in firstpost.com. And know what, the feature carries highlights/details of the branding that OHO Productions has done for Kaapicheenu.

"Imaginatively brand-named “Kaapi Cheenu”, after its enterprising young MBA-owner Manu Srinivasan, or Cheenu to friends. This tiny shack with a tiled roof is held up by miniature Chettinad pillars, even as a backdrop of a typical Madras grandmother surreptitiously holding out a tumbler of coffee to an impish kid adds to the mood.

Driving on after my supremely satisfying cuppa, I passed Park Sheraton, right in the neighbourhood. It struck me then that Kaapi Cheenu may also be a cheeky dig at the well-known coffee parlour within its posh 5 star premises, called what else, but 'Cappucino'."

You still have to come to Chennai for the real filter coffee. As every Madrasi great grandmother will tell you, it all starts with the right proportion of coffee and chicory seeds, roasted just so over a fire, then immediately powdered in a good old handgrinder bought in Mylapore’s bylanes.
