Hamsadhwani , the cultural organisation in Indira nagar paid tributes to the memory of Legendary actor Sowcar Janaki . The audience at youth hostel prayed in silence before the start of the Kathadi Ramamurthy drama prog . R. Sundar spoke about her contribution to Cinema and theatre .
Hamsadhwani mourns the loss of Sowcar Janaki a versatile actor who donned several roles on screen and on stage and impressed with her classy acting and dialogue delivery. Her memorable performances incl movies like Iru Kodugal, Kaviya Thalaivi, Bama Vijayam & Pudhiya paravai . A wonderful art patron, an extraordinary achiever who personified grace , dignity and who supported civic causes with sincerity will be missed. A well wisher of Hamsadhwani she had participated in some of our events including the Exnora campaign organised by my father R. Ramachandran and recently at MN Nambiars’s centenary. Her unmatched eloquence in English lingers in my ears. Age did not deter her enthusiasm for conversations and zest for life. She would always gratefully mention about the Hamsadhwani memento which is in her puja . May her soul attain Sadgathi .Om Shanthi 🙏🙏
