We're happy to announce that the judge for Quills Out Please, the Scriptwriting event, will be our very own alumnus, Ganapathi Ramanathan.

Thoroughly unsatisfied with how engineering was going, Ganapathi joined the theatre club in 2015, and there was no looking back from then. Ganapathi, or Gana, as he is affectionately known, has been part of several highly acclaimed LOP productions like Kali Kaalam, part of the Campus Theatre Initiative, and Holiday Inn, for the MyTheatre Festival.

His most notable achievements are writing Half of What I Say, which won second place in the Hindu Lit for Life theatre contest in 2017,
and Nadula Konjam Pakkaththa Kaanom, which bagged him a Best Playwright Award. Gana also worked with Crea-Shakti during his second year, writing for the Spotlight Initiative.
Gana now works at the Corporate Marketing department at Freshworks.

We're hyped to have you back on board, Gana!

And now for our second judge for On The Spot: Anirhudh Sridharan!

An alumnus of Lights Out Please, Anirhudh is a stalwart of the club.
A jack of all trades, he has involved himself with acting, directing, scriptwriting, and composing music for 12 plays. His biggest achievements include winning second place at the Hindu Lit for Life Fest, and directing and scripting the award winning Tamil-English musical Nadula Konjam Pakkaththa Kaanom.
He has also acted in the Crea-Shakti Spotlight Initiative in 2018.

Now, he has walked away from the limelight, pursuing his other field of interest - Marketing. He's a digital Marketer at Chargebee, a startup SaaS company. Theatre continues to be an indispensable part of his life, and he gets involved whenever possible, one such instance being Theatrefest 2019.

Glad to have you back, Hudh!

Introducing our first judge for On The Spot, our Improv Theatre event: George Cherian!

George is no stranger to Lights Out Please. After joining the club in 2016, George quickly established himself as a versatile actor who can switch from dramatic to comical at the push of a button. In the latter half of his Lights Out Please career, he proved his mettle as an accomplished director, directing three very successful plays, one of which won the cleansweep at Festember Theatrix conducted at NIT Trichy. The same play was also put up in Chennai to raise funds for the welfare of the transgender community.

He's taken some time to cool himself off, working for the sales division in Chargebee, improving the company's sales funnel as you read this. But you can expect a comeback show soon!

We're excited to have you back with us, George!
