Shinod Akkaraparambil's works revolve around the various facets of urban life. It explores the survival-level conflict of mankind. The drudgery of congestion, stress, strain, and mindless competition has prompted the artist to create sanctuaries of peace and explore tranquillity. He sees Social Darwinism as the prominent order of the day. The characters and imagery in his paintings, sculptures, and Installations are rooted in his rustic and humble childhood experiences. He is one of the founders of Scaffold, an Indian multicultural contemporary art platform.
