Another to celebrate a truly innovative corner of the , together with dear friends old & new (tagged).⁠ ⁠ Earlier this week, we celebrated 20 years of partnership among the and . Rhizome celebrates and archives as the "home" of born-digital art since 1996. ⁠ ⁠ During the evening, it was lovely to bear witness to , a visual interface for an online keyword and text archive of Rhizome's early email discussion list that had been recreated on an old Windows OS, and (swipe left) to visit an installation by with the amazing art lawyer, artist advocate, and forever , ⁠ ⁠ Bravo to and his team at Rhizome for continually reminding us of the importance of digital art through the ages, and a huge shout-out to for ⁠launching a limited edition series of NFTs created from StarryNight in support of Rhizome's activities. Just recently, a research group from Yamagata University in Japan, collaborating with local Peruvian archeologists, identified 168 additional Nazca Lines in Peru using aerial laser surveys and drones. The forms date back to 100 BCE ~ 300 CE and are created by removing black stones to reveal white sand underneath. This researc group has received research rights from the Peruvian authorities and also work on preservation efforts of the forms.

is one of my favorite of all time, and I enjoy being a part of the +Kings project. You customize your royal by choosing individual NFT traits (like crowns & attire), dressing up your PFP's persona, like one does IRL. The project engenders an authentic and sustained sense of community in the digiverse, and allows for creativity not only by Hackatao, but within and among the project members!

This past weekend, I got to hear artist Nadia Kaabi-Linke 💪in conversation with ✨of Creative Time. Kaabi-Linke discussed her practice as the facilitation of meetings between the body 👤 of her work and the body 👤 of the spectator. "Mistake-Out" (2018) 🖊🖊🖊📍🖊 by the artist is currently installed at as part of Sara Raza’s ♥️ group show that investigates multiple interpretations of the truth. The mosaic installation is created from fragments of newspaper 📰 sheets that have been painted over with correction fluid, which together form traces of a surface of an actual wall in Berlin. Congrats to all involved for a timely and powerful show!!
