Chennai Art Theatre CAT is a performing arts management company based in Chennai that aims to support, host and promote performing arts groups in India. It integrates planning, marketing and executing art events by providing logistical and technical support. Charles is a multi faceted lighting designer with an experience of more than 12 years in multiple backstage departments like lighting design, sound, stage and sets.

“Birds of Border” is a stirring tale of love and compassion that defies the boundaries drawn by man. Set against the evocative landscapes of Kashmir and Kerala, the play portrays love, hate, betrayal, hope, despair and resilience.

The play portrays how wars and our obsession with nationalism and borders affect ordinary people. It unmasks people when they are presented with situations that put their character to test.

Typical of Ekatha, this production blends entertainment with a powerful social message. It celebrates the freedom, resilience, and determination of modern women through an engaging narrative enriched by immersive sets and music.

“Birds of Border” will linger, blossom, and deepen within you long after the final act.
