When your girl bestie is getting married, it's obviously a joyous occasion. I wanted to multiply that joy notches more, and so I volunteered to design the wedding invite for my close friend Ina.
It is said that when we wholeheartedly pursue our passions, we meet souls who align with our purpose along the way. Ina, a German native, and her boyfriend, an Indian from Gujarat, found each other while pursuing their passion for traveling. The invite thus takes a travel-based theme. It visually maps their courtship and relationship through the places, countries, and cultures they have explored together. I painted it on gouache and added the text on iPad. Even in this digital age, a wedding invitation does hold a special place. As the years pass, it becomes a precious keepsake for the couple. The invite is the gateway through which they reminisce about their D-Day. I am grateful to Ina for trusting me to create this piece of memory. It was truly a creatively fulfilling one for me.
