Sudharani Raghupathy. Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form of India. Silambam, an alliance of Shree Bharatalaya, teaches the Tanjore style of Bharatanatyam and emphasises performance excellence. From 1994 to 2000 at Indore and since 2007 at Chennai. It's Founder-Director Smt. Raghavan, a senior disciple of Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy, is a performer, creative choreographer and is adept at dance

history and theory. She also weilds the Nattuvangam for senior Bhartanatyam artistes. Silambam Mylapore follows a traditional and disciplined approach to dance teaching. Students are also taught Sanskrit and dance theory for a holistic learning of Bharatanatyam. A number of students have had their Arangetram and perform regularly under the auspices of prestigious Chennai sabhas. Classes are conducted in Mylapore. Senior class: Mon, Wed and Thurs 4:30 to 6:00pm
Junior class: Tue, thurs and Fri 430 to 530 pm
One to one classes are conducted on weekends. Classes are conducted through Skype as well.
