One Man Show of Aadith Sai R

From 25th to 27th of January on 2014, Aadith Sai put up his One Man Show, a solo exhibition of his paintings in Achalam Art Gallery and Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, K.K.Nagar, Chennai. Mr.Rajeevan, a famous art director graced the occasion as the chief guest, inaugurated the event and took a look at the paintings with awe along with a few other celebrities!

Things have changed during COVID situations. We, from Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, are strongly hoping for things to get back to normal soon and yes, lots of events are yet to be conducted very soon!

Reminiscing about the past 😇

On November 2017, Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam joined hands with Aavaa Dingi to support a social cause.. Paintings done by Kalaikudam students and various artists of Kalaikudam were exhibited for sale and auction in YMCA ground, Nandanam, Chennai!! The proceeds from the sold paintings benefitted the Specially Abled Children and Vision 2020!

This event was one of the special events conducted by Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam and it shall forever remain close to our hearts..!! Many more exhibitions like these are being planned by Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam in the coming years to support the ones in need!!

Reminiscing about the past 😇

Our students were taken to an One Day Outdoor Camp to Dakshina Chitra, a living history museum in Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu. They were taught how to observe their surroundings and paint them. The Director and Founder of Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, Artist S Venkatachapathy, MFA demonstrated live painting to all the students.

The aim of this One Day Camp was to develop the observation skills of the students. This was definitely achieved and the students also had great fun..!!

Chitramela 2015 was inaugurated with Ribbon cutting by Mrs.Veena E Gayathri, Vice Chancellor, Tamilnadu Music and Fine Arts University. The Guests of Honour of the event were Mrs.Uma Venkatesan, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax and Mrs.Thara Ganesan, Vice President - Development, IIT Madras.

Vinayaka and Navyuga 2017!

The above pictures are from the group show art exhibition conducted by Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam on August 2017!! It was an inter-school competition held by Kalaikudam!! It was an exclusive group show filled with Vinayaka paintings!! Students from various school participated and displayed their talent!! Chief Guest, Mrs.Gayathri took a look at all the paintings and she was in awe seeing the works of the talented budding artists!!

Recollecting memories 😇

We, from Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, conduct a lot of workshops - both free and paid ones throughout the year. Many children and adults take part in them enthusiastically and make them a great success each time!

1 - Ostrich Egg Painting Workshop
Easter eggs are famous in foreign countries. In this workshop, the participants were taught to paint the Ostrich Eggs that are big in size. The output is a beautiful showcase art. Interested people can contact us to learn this course!

2 - Thermocol Workshop
Participants were taught how to cut, handle and convert Thermocol sheets to beautiful artworks. The picture shows children working on to make Golu stand, as this was conducted as a Navratri Special Workshop!

3 & 4 - Umbrella Painting Workshop
This workshop was conducted in our Kalaikudam and children were taught the techniques and nuances in Painting an Umbrella.
