I’ve always preferred seeing animals in their natural habitats. This photo was taken during a visit to Mysore Zoo a few years ago. I remember laughing at the sight of this bear back then — something about its posture or expression must have amused me. But looking at it now, there's a quiet melancholy in the image. Then the bird is like " i will do one better " and stared straight into lens for a perfect shot .

I felt this the best photograph in the series which I saved for the last.

The moment of surrealism for me or both of us !! Moments like these show we don't own it but we co-exist. And it gives a level of high to do what I do with my camera 📸

Some photos may not be technically perfect—they might lack sharpness, have some visual disturbance, or miss ideal lighting.
Especially in nature photography, the golden rule is: never disturb the scene—capture it as it is. You can't ask wildlife to pose, wait for the perfect moment, look at the lens, or shift into position. Everything has to happen before the moment passes.
As an amateur, it's easy to miss technically flawless shots, but what remains is the story they tell—and that’s something no flaw can take away. These are the kind of photos that may not be fit for framing, but are powerful enough to convey the stories I witnessed.

Two days. One story of instinct, dedication, and survival.
This red-whiskered bulbul, part of a nesting pair, was a marvel to watch. It's tireless hunt to feed it's pair was a reminder of nature’s quiet persistence.
If you look closely, there’s a catch in its beak—visible even in the second photo from both perspectives—capturing a moment of purpose and precision.

I’m sure this moment in the lake was just mine—even though many were around.
I spotted this tiny waterbird (Google Lens says it’s a little grebe), resting peacefully beneath a lily. Small, yet spirited—vanishing underwater at the slightest ripple.
